It couldn't be 10 years, could it?

Well, actually, we are getting closer to 11 years, but that is beside the point, you probably want to know what was 10 years ago. 10 years ago in May, I graduated from High School. I know, I still get asked if I'm in high school, so how could I have been out that long. Well, this weekend was the weekend we had our reunion. At first I was all excited to go, oh its going to be so great, I'm so excited. Then I found out I couldn't afford most of the activities, so I was sad, but I was thinking, no one will remember me anyways, so oh well.

Well, fast forward to last Monday, my sister calls (she married a guy that graduated in my class) and says that she is talking to the class treasurer and the price has been cut almost in half and we could still go if we wanted. So I crunched some numbers and said okay, that works. I couldn't make the football game Friday night or the Pizza Party at the Park this afternoon as I had prior commitments, so I was only able to go to the dinner. Jenn and I decided to make a dash up to TJ Maxx and Ross to find stuff to wear (as if neither of us have anything, lol). We both buy really cute tops and figure we will wear jeans we already have. We get to the dinner and seriously, in 1o years, so little has changed! Yes, you have those friends who have married and are starting their families, but there are still so many who are single and are there to "Party like it's 1999". That is not me! I don't have a family, but I was never into the whole party scene. So I found this really cool spot and hung out all night talking to different people.

In all I did have fun and I'm glad I went. Lena did an awesome job getting everything set up and it was so nice getting to catch up with her and with other classmates. Oh, and I totally love the cute top I picked up today for $15 at TJ Maxx! Pictures to follow, I couldn't find my camera when it was time to go, so I'm hopping others will post the pics that they took so I can get copies!

Fall...what fall?

I love fall, it should be here, except I live in Florida where fall is just something we hear about that happens in other parts of this country. We had 2 days last week that were cool enough that I could open the windows, this week, record temps (it was 100 here today!!!).

Today would have been my Grandmother's birthday, I think this is why I love fall so much, my mom's parents lived in Hiawassee, GA so we would always make a trip to the north GA mountains near the beginning of October. We would drive all around looking at the beautiful colors on the trees and enjoy the cool weather (and miss a few days of school!!) We would buy corn stalks (and this one time, we drove a station wagon that we nicknamed the Wallywagon b/c we wrapped those corn stalks and placed them on top of the car, and if you could have seen the looks we got traveling home on I-75 (think Griswalds). Good times!), go to craft fairs and spend time out by the lake and just have fun with Grandpa and Grandma. Anyways, back to Grandma, she is now celebrating her birthday in the presence of Jesus, how awesome is that?

So, in other random news, I finally started a twitter account. I figure if my mother can set one up, it's about time I caught up on the times :) Plus, Kasey has a twitter account, hehehe :D
